Building a base

Building a base

The going is slow. Mostly because I am learning how to do all this as I go. Sure, CMS websites are pretty easy, but there are still bits you can get wrong.

Like, I did not know I had to rename the pictures before uploading them or the URLs would all be IMG1234.jgp, which is not helpful if you download something and then want to later identify it by the name.

I also have no idea how much content a website needs to have before it can go online. I mean, there is no strict rule about that. I could get started with just two blog entries – but then, who would be coming back to see if anything intersting happened? Or I could start when I have everything I am planning to have here actually on here. But that might never happen, or at least not within the next year, as I have a good many plans. And we all know what happens with plans.

So far I have my first fairy tale coloring book here, my first mental health book, the affirmation cards and the pictures that were supposed to become an inclusive calendar.

Is that enough?

Some administrative things also still need to be taken care of, before I can launch. So I do have some time to fret over “sooner with less or later with more”.

How do other people solve these questions? Maybe with less overthinking…
